  • Commuters fume as Western Railway cancels Chuchgate-Virar AC locals without notice

    MUMBAI: Commuters travelling on AC locals on western line were angry after WR cancelled the AC local train services without informing its commuters. Most of the passengers complained that they were not informed in advance about the cancellation due to which they had to face problem while travelling on non-AC locals as co-passengers did not let them to board the train.

  • Mega blocks on Central Railway tomorrow

    Thane: The Central Railway (CR) has planned mega block on main and harbour line for carrying out maintenance work tomorrow. The maintenance work will be carried out in Thane – Kalyan Dn slow line from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm and Panvel- Vashi up and down harbour line from 11.30 am to 4.30 pm.

    Mumbai: On most days on the Central Railway (CR) line, trains are delayed by half-an-hour, which in return hampers the entire network, the trains are delayed throughout the day. In order to counter this problem, the CR has decided to advance the morning trains departure by 10-15 mins.

    Mumbai: Travelling with your young ones especially has own challenges. However, to reduce such hardships during rail journey, the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) has sought space and nod from railway authorities to set up child care rooms at Mira Road and Bhayandar stations where parents especially feeding mothers to breast and  change clothes/ diapers of their tiny tots.

  • Mumbai: Mob on Central Railway stages rail roko, 26 held

    Mumbai: Yet again the local and long distance trains on the central railways came to a halt on Monday afternoon for over 20 minutes. Two local trains were cancelled after 100 angry mob staged a ‘rail roko’ between Thane and Airoli stations to protest the demolition drive carried out in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) authorities.
