    Indore: City police on Monday nabbed five persons with three country made pistols and six live cartridges in Chandan Nagar police station area. The accused were though arrested following their suspicious activities police got to bust a big gang involved in dealing illegal firearms.

  • Indore: 6-month-old girl falls ill after taking polio drops

    Indore: Aimed at immunising kids from polio attack and thus, eradicating the disease from country, second phase of the year’s pulse polio campaign was launched across district on Sunday. Children below five years of age were given two drops of polio vaccine in the first day of the campaign launched at booth level.

  • Indore: Hillary arrives on 3-day visit to state  

    Indore: Former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton arrived in city on Sunday on a three-day private visit to state. According to CSP Manoj Ratnakar, the former US first lady arrived at the Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport at around 8:00 pm in a private plane and stayed at the airport for about 20 minutes to greet people before leaving for Maheswar by road.

  • Bhopal: Bus carrying marriage party falls off culvert, 32 injured

    Bhopal: Members of a marriage party were injured after the bus in which they were travelling fell from a culvert on Sunday. The private bus driver, who is absconding, was on phone when the incident occurred at Banskheda under Piparia police station in Hoshangabad district. There were 32 passengers in the bus.

  • Bhopal: Fed up with harassment, girl kills self

    Jabalpur: A 14-year-old girl committed suicide in the city as she was facing harassment by a youth who lived next-door, police said on Sunday. The incident took place under the limits of the Civil Lines Police station.

  • Bhopal: Daughters points fingers at ex-maid, husband

    Bhopal: Daughters of the retired Air Force personnel, who along with his wife was found dead at their residence on Friday, have pointed finger at their former maid Arti and her husband. They told police that Arti used to work as maid at their parents’ home but was fired a year ago. Police have launched a hunt to trace the woman and her husband Raju.
