    Mumbai: MMRC promises to plant 20,900 trees in SGNP

    Mumbai: Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) on Wednesday promising to plant 20,900 trees and will maintain them for seven years. MMRC will use 19 hectares of land, with the permission accorded by the tree authority, allocated by SGNP for afforestation and as a part of MMRC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

    Mumbai: MMRC to install pumps to control flooding this monsoon

    Mumbai: The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) will be installing 241 pumps where the Metro works are being carried. The pumps will help to avoid flooding and the water can also be stored. The decision was taken in a meeting conducted between the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority and MMRC on Wednesday.

    Mumbai: MMRC getting ready for monsoon 

    Mumbai: To ensure uninterrupted traffic movement and smooth functioning of project activities during monsoon, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has implemented a monsoon preparedness and disaster management plan. A detailed advisory was issued in April 2018 itself to the contractors and ensured immediate start of pre-monsoon activities.     Mumbai: BMC orders MMRC to fix damages caused due to Metro works before monsoon
