    Mumbai : The minister for housing, Prakash Mehta, has announced that the Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA) will hold a lottery for flats in October-November. Mehta said there are likely to be 100-1000 flats in this scheme.

    Konkan Board of MHADA releases lottery for over 9,000 homes today

    Konkan Board of MHADA has declared the results of lottery for over 9,000 houses at MHADA’s headquarter in Bandra. The lottery was organised by Konkan Board of MHADA and also has homes under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme. The lottery was declared by State Cabinet Minister for Housing Department Prakash Mehta and Education Minister Vindod Tawde. According to reports, Ranjani Vyas became the first winner of Konkan board lottery.

    Mumbai: 26 fake MHADA websites inviting lottery applications found, case registered

    The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has registered a complaint of cheating with Mumbai Police. The state’s housing development agency registered a complaint after their officials spotted 26 fake websites inviting applications for MHADA’s upcoming lottery of flats.

    MHADA’s Pune board lottery is set for June 30

    Mumbai: The Pune board of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has received at least 20,000 applications for 3,139 apartments and 29 land parcels located in Pune for its upcoming lottery, likely to be held on June 30. Of the total number of applicants, at least 10,000 applicants have paid the deposit amount. This is considered one of the biggest lotteries offering the largest number of flats outside Mumbai.

    Mumbai: Couple kills sex worker for not paying loan of Rs 40000, accused held

    Mumbai: A 48-year-old Shobha Ramdas Patil alias Neha, along with her live-in partner Babu Bhagwan Patel was arrested for allegedly killing a sex worker Meena Joshi, who had refused to pay them a loan of Rs 40,000. The incident came to light when Meena’s decomposed body was recovered from an empty water drum near Shivaji Nagar’s MHADA colony.

    HC summons municipal commissioner over non-compliance of order

     Mumbai:  Irked by non-compliance of court orders by municipal authorities, the Bombay High Court has directed Mumbai civic chief Ajoy Mehta to appear before it tomorrow. The order was passed by vacation judge Justice S J Kathawala yesterday while hearing a petition filed by tenants of Bhatia Building, a century-old structure in south Mumbai, against four landlords.

    Mumbai: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has decided to blacklist at least 42 builders who constructed transit camps and failed to transfer them back to the housing authority.
