    New Delhi :  The process of government formation in the sensitive border state of Jammu and Kashmir is inching forward. The PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, whose party has emerged as the single largest with 28 seats in a house of 87, is slated to meet governor N N Vohra on Wednesday with plans about the next government.

    Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti will meet Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on Wednesday for discussing government-formation in the state following a hung verdict in the assembly polls.

    Mattan (Jammu and Kashmir): People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday stated that the people of Jammu and Kashmir did not want to elect a coalition government, adding that the state wanted to see party leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as their chief minister.


    Srinagar  : Jammu and Kashmir’s Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) said on Friday  that it would restore Article 370 in its original form, if it wins power, as this provision of Indian constitution provides special status to the state and is “necessary for the empowerment of the people here”.
