  • Maruti Suzuki Showcases New WagonR-Based Electric Vehicle Prototype: Launch In 2020

    Maruti Suzuki has showcased a prototype electric vehicle (EV) at the ongoing MOVE Global Mobility Summit in New Delhi. The all-electric prototype is based on the Japan-spec WagonR, which is based on the Heartect platform. Suzuki launched the new WagonR in its home market in 2017 where it is even available with a hybrid powertrain. The prototype showcased recently, however, was manufactured at Maruti’s Gurugram plant.

    Maruti Suzuki has expanded the Ciaz lineup by adding another trim level. Called the Ciaz S, it is available with both petrol- and diesel-fed engines. While the petrol-powered Ciaz S is priced at Rs 9.39 lakh, the diesel will cost Rs 11.55 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi). Both the variants are based on the Alpha trims of the standard car.     Maruti sales dip marginally in February

    New Delhi: Country’s largest car-maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today reported a marginal decline in total sales in February at 1,17,451 units as against 1,18,551 units in the same month last year.
