  • Maruti Suzuki Showcases New WagonR-Based Electric Vehicle Prototype: Launch In 2020

    Maruti Suzuki has showcased a prototype electric vehicle (EV) at the ongoing MOVE Global Mobility Summit in New Delhi. The all-electric prototype is based on the Japan-spec WagonR, which is based on the Heartect platform. Suzuki launched the new WagonR in its home market in 2017 where it is even available with a hybrid powertrain. The prototype showcased recently, however, was manufactured at Maruti’s Gurugram plant.

    Maruti recalls 1,279 units of new Swift, Dzire in India for possible faulty airbag controllers 

    New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) today said it is recalling 1,279 units of new Swift and Dzire models to inspect for a possible fault in the airbag controller units. MSI in a statement said it will proactively and voluntarily undertake a recall for 1,279 vehicles (566 new Swift and 713 new Dzire) manufactured between May 7 to July 5, 2018.

    Maruti Suzuki’s profits rise by 10% in Q4 2017-18

    Mumbai: Automobile major Maruti Suzuki on Friday reported a rise of 10 percent in net profit for the fourth quarter of 2017-18. The automobile major’s Q4 net profit increased to Rs 1,882.1 crore from Rs 1,710.5 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

    Mumbai: The benchmark BSE Sensex rose 147 points and Nifty reclaimed 10,600 mark in early trade today on sustained buying by domestic institutional investors amid firm Asian cues. Encouraging earnings by blue-chip company also added to the uptrend. The 30-share index rose 147.25 points, or 0.42 per cent, to 34,598.02. The gauge had gained 35.19 points in the previous session. The NSE Nifty was up 23.90 points, or 0.22 per cent, to 10,608.60.
