    Mumbai: City-based consumer body Mumbai Grahak Panchayat (MGP) has urged MahaRera to bring property portals under its ambit to further increase transparency and accountability in the real estate sector. In a letter to MahaRera chief Gautam Chatterjee, a copy of which is with the PTI, MGP said, “Real estate web portal companies operating in Maharashtra have to be treated as ‘real estate agent’ under Rera.”

    Mumbai: Four Pune homebuyers will get interest from the developer of a real estate project for delay in possession by two years, the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has ruled. The bench acted on the complaint after observing that the homebuyers had not received possession of their flats till date, after booking them in 2014 and being promised possession in 2016.

    MahaRERA summons BMC, GVK over non-issuance of OC to developer

    Mumbai: In a first, Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) summoned officials from civic body and GVK, which operates the Mumbai International Airport to ascertain their views in connection to non-issuance of Occupancy Certificate (OC) to a developer. The officials said the OC was not provided to developer as he violated the height restrictions imposed by the Airport Authority of India (AAI) in the project work.
