    Ujjain: Ujjain city welcomed ‘Vighnaharta’ or remover of obstacles, Lord Ganesha home on Friday with full fervour and devotion, marking the beginning of the ten day Ganesh Chathurthi celebrations. Ganesh ‘sthapana’ was done during the most auspicious time in the morning at various places in Ujjain. Markets were crowded with the young and old, out to buy idols, Ganesha’s favourite sweets modak and bundi laddoo, decorative and other worship items since early morning.
