  • Bhopal: Health workers refuse to administer polio drops

    Bhopal: The contractual health workers who are on strike have refused to administer pulse polio drops even to their own children under National Vaccination Programme as mark of protest. The national vaccination mission’s second phase was held on Sunday. It was two-day door- to -door campaign to cover children who could not be vaccinated.

  • Increment of two health workers put on hold, notices to 7 other workers

    Khandwa : The chief medical and health officer Dr JS Awasya has served show cause notices to 3 personnel of village Badgaonmal of Jawar area. Orders have also been issued to stop two increment of a woman health worker Shail Mishra of Dharampuri health center. Another health worker, Arti Chandel has been given a warning that her contractual services will be terminated for dereliction of duty.

    Mumbai: Two days after Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Eknath Khadse said that the government cannot stop farmer suicides, his cabinet colleague Deepak Sawant has decided to rope in health workers (anganwadi sevikas) to stop farmers from killing themselves.
