    Mumbai: The staff of BMC C-ward on Thursday spotted stingrays swarming the Girgaum Chowpatty seashore. It has accordingly issued an advisory for citizens visiting the seashore, asking them not to venture inside the sea with bare feet and bare-bodied while immersing Ganesha idols.

    Bombay High Court: No encroachments can be allowed on beach fronts

    Mumbai: Observing that citizens cannot be “inconvenienced” during their visit to city’s beaches, the Bombay High Court recently said no encroachments can be allowed on the beach fronts. The HC accordingly directed demolition of nearly five unauthorised structures, constructed by purported fishermen at Girgaum Chowpatty.
