    Delhi: Fire breaks out in basement of Ashok hotel

    New Delhi: A fire broke out in the basement of The Ashok Hotel at Chanakyapuri today, said a senior officer from the Delhi Fire Service. A call was received at 12.20 pm about the fire in the hotel’s records kept in the basement and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said. No one was injured. The fire was doused at 3.15 pm, the officer added.

    Mumbai: Fire breaks out in 7-storey building in Dharavi

    Mumbai: Fire erupted in Dharavi in Mumbai on late Sunday evening. A high-rise building near a Ganesh temple in Dharavi caught fire. The building which caught fire was a seven-storey building and help was send immediately to handle the incident.

    Bhopal: Three two-wheeler vehicles were gutted in the old categorised market Wednesday afternoon. The fire broke after a heap of garbage caught fire due to the sparks of gas cutter. It soon engulfed spread to the two wheelers which were damaged completely in the fire.

    Ujjain: Fire reportedly spread in a house in Udyan Marg at Wagheshwari Colony near Wagheshwari Mata Temple on Friday morning, destroying everything in the house.  The charred body of a woman was also found in the house. The cause of fire eruption is still not clear.

    Bhopal: Movements of the trains were disrupted for a few hours following fire at Itarsi Railway junction.  Fire broke out at canteen kitchen situated on Platform no-1 and soon spread to other areas. The fire gutted canteen, deputy office, operating office and other wings in old building. No casualty was reported, but property loss has been estimated at Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore.

    Indore: The owner of an air conditioner repair shop was critically injured as the compressors of air conditioners exploded after fire broke out due to short circuit at his shop on Wednesday. The shop is situated between MIG police station and Patnipura square. The flames became intense and spread to adjacent footwear shop, which was gutted. Besides, the wall of a house collapsed due to explosion in compressors.

    100 huts gutted in fire in a village in Meerut

    Meerut: At least 100 huts were gutted in a massive blaze that took place in Meerut’s Jahidpur Village on Sunday night. The locals said that the incident occurred when a wedding procession was crossing the spot. During the celebrations and fireworks, one of the firecrackers landed on the roof of a hut, which caused the blaze.

    Mumbai fire: Marol fire station just 10 mins away from building, but team reaches spot after 30 mins

    Mumbai: Though the Mumbai fire brigade has 62 fire engines and 32 water tankers to protect the city from any fire accident, but on contrary the Marol fire station which was just 10 minutes away from the Maimoon building, Andheri, reached only after half an hour as all the fire tenders were busy dousing the fire at an Andheri rubber factory reported at 1.30 am Wednesday night.

    Mumbai Kamala Mills Fire: BMC acts against rooftop hotels

    Mumbai: After the incident, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Lower- Parel ward office immediately initiated action after ‘Mojo Bisto’ and ‘1Above.
