According to new survey from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), half of the world’s ten most expensive cities to live in are in Asia, with Singapore and Hong Kong firmly defending their top two spots from a year ago.
Beijing: China’s economy expanded more than expected in the second quarter of the year, Beijing said today, fuelling hopes growth may be stabilising, but analysts warned private investment was worryingly low. The world’s second biggest economy grew 6.7 per cent year on year in April-June, slightly quicker than forecast in an AFP survey and the same as the year’s first quarter.
London: Mumbai and Bangalore are among the cheapest cities in the world, according to a top London-based forecast group that named Singapore as the most expensive city.
