    Mumbai: Senior citizen mowed down

    Mumbai: A 77-year-old senior citizen died in an accident at Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg at Sewri on Tuesday morning. She was hit by a speeding trailer when she was walking on the road. Sushila Kashinath Dhumal (77) was killed in the accident at Zakaria Bunder near the Bombay Development Directorate (BDD) chawl on Tuesday morning at 11 am. After the accident, the unknown accused driver fled from the spot.

    Maharashtra: Buldhana farmer dies of starvation as shop owner denies ration for no aadhar link

    Mumbai: Govind Gawai (65) a farmer from Jaipur in Motala tehsil of Buldhana district died of starvation as the Public Distribution (PDS) shop owner denied him ration, stating reasons, that his ration card was not linked with Aadhar card. Though the Supreme Court has recently given a judgement that Aadhar linkage will not be mandatory to avail benefit of schemes run by the state government.

    Mumbai: Monsoon-related ailments claimed 8 lives in August

    Mumbai: Eight citizens have died in August, this year, in separate incidents of monsoon-related waterborne diseases.
