  • Cosmos bank malware attack: Cyber team hot on trail leading to Hong Kong

    Mumbai: Two days after a malware attack of Pune-based Cosmos bank, the state cyber-cell has called for all server data of the bank. The cyber police will trace the trail of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses logged in to try and nab the hackers who siphoned off Rs 94 crore from the bank twice in the last week.

  • Indore: Fishery company owner, three employees booked for gang rape

    Indore: Police booked a director of fishery company, Harpal Singh Bhatia, his manager Abhimanyu Tiwari and two staffers Indrajeet Singh and Sugrim Vishnoi on charge of gang rape with a woman, on Wednesday. According to victim, the incident took place in a hotel under Gwaltoli police station jurisdiction about two years ago but the police did not take her case seriously.

    Indore: City cyber cell officials on Thursday arrested a woman from Tanzania and a Delhi-based youth in connection with duping a city businessman of Rs 4 lakh. The accused had created a fake profile on Facebook and sent a friend request to the victim, a furniture businessman.

The group is being run by the mobile number of a person of Indian origin who is based in Kuwait.

    Bhopal: Cyber cell has nabbed three miscreants involved in the  hacking of 611 accounts of Social Security Pension scheme and for fraudulently collecting money from other bank accounts. Manoj Batham, Deputy Director Social Welfare and Disability Welfare, Madhya Pradesh on March 23 A lodged a complaint with the cyber cell that there is unauthorized transfer of money in other bank accounts from the bank account of actual pensioners.

    Indore: The two accused, who were arrested by city cyber cell officials in connection with the hacking e-wallets and stealing money, were sent to jail and their minor accomplice sent to juvenile home. However, the investigation into the case is underway and cell team trying to trace other accused involved in the crime.

    BHOPAL: The state cyber cell, on Tuesday, arrested a 23-year-old man accused of creating a fake profile on Facebook and posting obscene photographs of a national-level female athlete. The main accused in the case was already arrested by the police after receiving the complaint of the victim a few months ago. This was the second arrest made in the incident.
