    Mumbai : Murtidan, is a unique initiative by Dadar beach clean-up volunteers comprising a young group of students, to care for and provide a proper place for abandoned idols found on the Chaityabhoomi seashore.

    Mumbai: As the followers return home after paying tribute to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary at Shivaji Park Dadar, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) the next day itself took the clean-up drive and collected around 70 metric tonnes of garbage from the place. According to the information given by the Dadar (G north), civic ward officials, 1,500 clean up workers deployed to undertake the initiative.

    Mumbai: A group of 700 youngsters from different colleges have come together through social media like Facebook and Whatsapp for a noble cause, to keep the entire stretch of Dadar Chaityabhoomi clean and free from littering. Buddha Bhushan Shinde, a 24-year-old Mumbai University final year student doing Bachelor in Arts (BA) is the brainchild behind the clean-up drive initiative.

Firstly, they have no place to sleep and moreover, the pandal erected for the book exhibition and stalls have all got washed away in the Mumbai rains. Meanwhile,  a pandal fell at Shivaji Park and three people were injured.

    Mumbai : Tens of thousands of people gathered at Dadar Chaityabhoomi in Shivaji Park to pay homage to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on the occasion of his 59th death anniversary on Sunday. Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, popularly known as Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, died on December 6, 1956.
