    Mumbai: Parel terminus will be ready by December 2018

    Mumbai: Commuters travelling on Central Railways will breathe a sigh of relief as soon they will be able to take trains which will be originating at Parel station. Senior Railway official said they have reduced the deadline for completion of Parel terminus to December 2018 from March 2019.

    Mumbai: 17 dead in different incidents in a day on Western and Central line

    Thane: Seventeen persons were killed Thursday in separate mishaps on the suburban network of Western and Central Railways, the railway police said. The Kalyan and Vasai railway police station area saw the maximum of three deaths each, officials informed. “Of the three deaths that occurred in the jurisdiction of Kalyan railway police station, two were track deaths that took place at Asangaon and between Shahad and Kasara.     Mumbai: All major railway stations to get bottle crushing machines soon

    Mumbai: In a move to implement the plastic ban on the suburban railway stations, both Central and Western Railways will be installing bottle crushing machines. A senior railway official said that they are exploring all the possibilities of implementing a buyback policy for plastic bottles along with bottle crushing machines at major stations.

    Mumbai: The Central Railway (CR) has decided to run six additional summer special trains between Mumbai in Maharashtra and Karmali in Goa to clear the extra rush of passengers. The special train no. 01127 will leave the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai at 12.20 am on May 2 and arrive in Karmali at 11.30 am the same day.
