  • Rajathan: 45 calves rescued by police, 2 held

    Jaipur: At least 45 calves were rescued from a truck in Chittorgarh district Tuesday, police said. Acting on a tip-off, the police checked the truck near a toll plaza which comes under the jurisdiction of Sadar police station, said Murali Das, the Assistant Sub-Inspector. Two people identified as Gopal and Rakesh, both hailing from Tonk district, were arrested under the Rajasthan Bovine Animal Act.

  • Bhopal: ASI arrested in stabbing case

    Bhopal: Police on Wednesday booked three people, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), his son and his son’s friend for allegedly stabbing a 32-year-old man and his pregnant wife on Tuesday late night at Awadhpuri. The accused ASI and his son’s friend had been arrested by the police while his son was absconding, the police said.

    Mumbai : A 57-year-old Government Railway Police (GRP) official was killed after he was allegedly run over by a passing local train at Dadar station on Friday night. The incident took place when the victim was attempting to cross the railway tracks to climb the platform.

    New Delhi: At least three people, including a Delhi Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) were killed and a constable was injured last night in a gang-war in Delhi’s Mianwali area. Bhupendra, who has several criminal cases registered against him, was sitting in a car with his friend Arun along with his Public Safety Officer (PSO) Vijay and constable Kuldeep.

    Indore : Rajendra Nagawat, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Railway Protection Force (RPF) Indore unanimously elected assistant secretary of Western Railway Zonal Executive of All India Indian Railway Protection Force Association. The elections were held in Mumbai during the three-day annual convention of All India Railway Protection Force Association. The elections were in the presence of Association president SR Reddy and general secretary US Jha.
