    Maratha Quota Stir: Cases lodged against 3,000 agitators in Chakan, Khed

    Mumbai: Normalcy returned to the industrial area of Chakan outside Pune City on Tuesday, after two days of violence by Maratha agitators. Two cases have been lodged against nearly 3,000 persons under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections pertaining to rioting, arson and the use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty, among others, at Chakan and Khed police stations.

    Mumbai: More than 100 agitators, slated to congregate at Films Division Complex in Mumbai, in order to protest Padmaavat film’s release, were detained by the police on Friday.  132 persons from Karni Sena have been detained by the Gamdevi police for ‘Padmavat’ protest. The police are verifying the details of the protestors.

    BHOPAL: The agitators of 108 Ambulance wrote a letter to CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan with their blood to press their demands, on Sunday. The operating company Ziqitza Healthcare has filed an FIR against the agitators who are allegedly threatening the staff who had returned on their services.
