    Kabul : The United Nations on Saturday launched a USD 550 million humanitarian appeal for Afghanistan, where about a third of the population is in need of assistance. Around 9.3 million people will be in need of help this year, a 13 per cent jump from last year, according to the UN.

    Kabul : Amnesty International  said that more than 1.2 million Afghans have been forced to flee their homes due to violence in the past three years and urged the Kabul government and the international community to tackle the country’s growing crisis of refugees internally displaced by war.
