    Mumbai: In a unique stand, the Brihanmumbai Electronic Supply Transport (BEST) has told the Bombay High Court that no citizen has a fundamental right to travel via Air Conditioned (AC) buses. This stand was taken by the BEST in its affidavit filed in the HC, last week.

    Mumbai: The management of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) plans to suspend the loss-making air-conditioned (AC) buses to cut maintenance cost of these vehicles. The undertaking will shut down the services of its 202 AC buses from Monday. An official told The Free Press Journal, “BEST will be able to save at least Rs 200 crore annually.”
