    Jogeshwari Flyover Extension: MMRDA set to start work by June end

    Mumbai: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is set to begin the construction of flyover extension at Jogeshwari east on Western Express Highway (WEH) by end of June 2018. The crucial pillar for the work would be constructed in June which will clear the way for letting the work of Metro 6 corridor connecting Lokhandwala-Jogeshwari-Vikhroli-Kanjurmarg.

    Mumbai JVLR extension: BMC needs to clear 700 slum structures before work starts

    Mumbai: To reduce travel time from Andheri Lokhandwala and Oshiwara to Western Express Highway (WEH) from 40 minutes to merely 10 minutes civic body has proposed to extend Jogeshwari Vikroli Link Road (JVLR). However, before starting the road extension work major hurdle is before the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC, it has to first remove around 700 slum structures along Andheri west SV road and link road.

    Mumbai: Truck affected Western Express Highway traffic for 5-hours

    Mumbai: People travelling on Western Express Highway (WEH) on both sides suffered as there was a huge traffic snarl that remained for five hours. The south bound traffic was worst affected. This occurred during morning peak hours as a truck carrying metal angles overturned on the Vile Parle flyover. No injury was reported in this accident.

  • Repairing of Vakola flyover causes traffic jam on WEH

    Mumbai : The Western Express Highway since Saturday afternoon saw bad traffic jam due to reparations of the Vakola flyover. Due to the road congestion, all the traffic got diverted to the SV Road at Santacruz. The flyover towards CST is shut for two days for its joint-replacement, said a traffic official.
