Xiaomi is all set to launch few gadgets for Indian Market, the company will launch Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi TV at an event scheduled to take place in New Delhi at 12:00 PM IST.
The entire specification list is leaked online. The leak has also estimated its price at CNY 1,499 (Rs 15,400 approx.). Xiaomi has also been teasing on its official Twitter handle for the past few days with #GiveMe5 hashtag regarding its upcoming launch and now it has been confirmed that the new smartphone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart. The famous e-commerce website is now running a teaser hinting the availability of the device on the platform.
Xiaomi in December launched Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus with full view display and smaller bezels in China.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 features a bezel-less HD display with 1440 x 720 pixels. One will run on the Snapdragon 630 chipset, have 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The other one will be powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset, have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Both the variants are expected to support storage expansion via microSD card.
The device sports a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. It packs a 3300mAh battery and offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
In China, the Redmi 5 was launched in in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants priced at CNY 799 (Rs 7,800 approx) and CNY 899 (Rs 8,800 approx) respectively and the company recently launched a 4GB RAM model priced at CNY 1,099 (Rs 11,200 approx). The Redmi 5 Plus is priced at CNY 999 (Rs 9,700 approx) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM model, whereas its 4GB RAM/ 64GB ROM model’s costs CNY 1,299 (Rs 12,700 approx) in China.
