Washington DC : Amazon has released a developer preview of the Alexa Voice Service (AVS). According to the Engadget, Alexa Voice Service developer preview is open for integration for both hobbyists and hardware manufacturers into their own connected devices. Also, the company is offering its technology for free.
Last month, Amazon announced it was opening up its Alexa Appkit for use by third parties developers to create new features for the voice technology that powers the Echo. The company’s Getting Started Guide says that by adding Alexa to their device, the users can request and receive information in the same way they would from an Amazon Echo.
According to Amazon, the devices users will be able to ask their device all kinds of questions, get news feed on Flash Briefing, play and buy music from Amazon Music, explore Prime Music, enjoy podcasts, music and live radio from iHeartRadio, listen to audiobooks from Audible or Kindle Unlimited subscription, add items to their To-Do and Shopping lists, get traffic updates, access new capabilities that developers create using the Alexa Skills Kit and many more.
