Yusuf Pathan wouldn’t have asked for a better start to Ranji Trophy 2017-18 campaign with Baroda, as the hard-hitter hammered back-to-back centuries in the first match itself against Madhya Pradesh recently. In the first innings, Yusuf scored a blazing 111 while in the second he hit a fantastic 136. His knock in the second innings drew widespread applause, but it is brother Irfan’s celebration which is taking the internet by storm and also leaving fans in delight. Irfan Pathan has always been animated in his celebrations from the day he took his first hat-trick in Tests. But this time around it was his brother for whom Pathan pumped his fists in the air and celebrated.
Irfan shared a video of his celebration on social media when elder sibling Yusuf hit a six to reach his hundred. “That’s how the big man @iamyusufpathan got to his 100 #pureemotion #sheerjoy #love,” Irfan wrote on Instagram.

In the video, it can be seen that as soon as Yusuf reached his century with a huge hit, Irfan left his bat at the non-strikers end, he shouted at his loudest pitch celebrating his elder brother’s feat. Irfan walked up to Yusuf while celebrating and gave him a tight hug. He clapped for his brother’s ton and hugged him again as the team started walking back to the pavilion after the session.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh capitalised on some brilliant batting by Shubham Sharma and Ankit Sharma to post a massive score of 551/8 (d) in first innings. Later they went to dismiss Baroda for 302 and then enforced the follow-on. After that, they once again dismissed Baroda for 318 and chased down a small target of 70.
