Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal resume their battle in the Wimbledon 2018 semi-final today. Rafael Nadal led 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (11/9) in their Wimbledon semi-final when it was halted for the night yesterday. Djokovic, the three-time champion, saved three set points in the third set which finished two minutes past the 11 pm (2200GMT) tournament curfew. The winner faces Kevin Anderson in the final, who beat John Isner 7-6 (8/6), 6-7 (5/7), 6-7 (9/11), 6-4, 26-24 in six hours and 36 minutes. It was the second-longest singles match ever played at a Grand Slam.
After the conclusion of the Djokovic-Nadal clash, Serena Williams takes on Germany’s Angelique Kerber in the Ladies Singles final. Serena makes her 10th appearance at the Wimbledon final after beating No.13 seed Julia Goerges of Germany 6-4, 6-2 in the semi-finals.
Serena is the first mother to reach the Wimbledon final in 38 year. Here opponent is No. 11 seed Kerber of Germany. A two-time Grand Slam winner, she edged out Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia in a straight sets victory to reach her second Wimbledon final.
