The third match of Caribbean Premier League 2018 will be played between defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs. Andre Russel will debut as captain in the match as he missed last year’s CPL due to a doping-related ban. Andre Russel has already proven his worth as a T20 superstar across the world and it will be interesting to see how he deals with the additional responsibility. The Tallawahs would be keen to welcome him back along with some newly added big names in Ross Taylor and David Miller.
Tallawahs have a star-studded bowling order with the likes of Samuel Badree, Imad Wasim, Kemar Roach and Krishmar Santokie at the helm.
However, the resurfacing of Shahid Afridi’s prolonged knee injury came as a huge setback for the team. They would now expect Afridi’s replacement Adam Zampa, the leggie from Australia, to come up with the goods. Also, David Miller would not be available for this match as he is with the South African team for the five-match ODI series followed by a solitary T20I against Sri Lanka
