As he continues inspecting the players asking them questions constantly, he is seen exclaiming in exasperation over the amount being spent on shoes and apparel for the athletes.

“We give you dresses, shoes and spend Rs 250 for your food and even after that if you don’t win a medal, what is the use of it? You must win. We make arrangements for your stay in hostel, give you food and clothing and you don’t win medals,” Dr. Sundararaj asks one of the players.

He is also seen asking the players to focus on sports and studies as their parents were struggling to make ends meet and pay for their education.
