West Indian cricketer Andre Russell who played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League last year, is currently busy making his name in another field: music. The star cricketer is taking music lessons from Dwayne Bravo. Russell has signed a deal with LA-based Venus Entertainment Group which had launched the international careers of Bravo and Hindi musician Arko for a Hinglish club song. Russell will soon shoot the video of the single.

The music video will be produced by Gemini Musiq based in Los Angeles that was responsible for the production of Grammy-winning singer Justin Bieber’s recent album “Sorry”. Russell will be launching his music video later this year.

Russell’s move came after his compatriot Dwayne Bravo came out with number of hits like ‘Champion ‘, ‘Jaegerbomb’ and ‘Trip Abhi Baki Hai’. According to reports, Indian actress Mallika Sherawat will also feature in the video. Andre is currently serving a one year-long ban for violating anti-doping law. With one year wasted, the all-rounder wants to try something new to overcome the phase. Russell will start professional cricket after one year.

Russell played a crucial role in West Indies’ World T20 victory in 2016 at the Eden Gardens.
