Madrid: Former Real Madrid Mexican striker Hugo Sanchez has praised his compatriot “Chicharito” Hernandez, who he described as a “more decisive” player in comparison to Benzema, who he does not consider “a natural goal-scorer.”
Sanchez also said “a forward has to score goals” although he added playing Benzema or Chicarito is a decision that “lies with the coach,” reports Efe.
“Madrid is able to turn around and win La Liga and Champions,” Sanchez, said, as long as the team can “recover the injured and the rotations,” of crucial importance during the season finale where each game promises to be “more intense” than the last.
Real Madrid face Italian champions Juventus in the semis of the Champions League next month. On their opponents, he said that “all are difficult, but theoretically Juventus was the one they wanted.”
Sanchez also said striker Raul Jimenez from Atletico Madrid is “young and will not stop until he convinces the fans and Cholo (coach Diego Simeone) that he is a player who can give much to the forward of Atletico Madrid,” although the player has not been in Simeone’s plans of late.
