India finally fought back in the series on the second day of the third Test at Wanderers, Johannesburg as visitors were 49/1 at stumps on Day 2 leading by 42 runs with nine wickets in hand. Earlier, South Africa were bowled out for 194 with Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah picking up his maiden five-wicket haul to restrict Proteas total.
India, the No 1 ranked Test side now has the opportunity to stamp its authority and bat well in the second innings. Men in blue would hope that the much-famed batting line-up finally delivers and also the pitch might ease out.
