The 2018 Indian Premier League (IPL) is reached its business end with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad will clash to get their hands on the coveted trophy. This year’s IPL league was one of the most exciting one with every team in contention for the playoffs. The tournament is arguable the biggest franchise-based T20 competition around the world. In its 10 years, the tournament has witnessed some dazzling, amazing moments that have captured the imagination of millions across the globe.   1. Harbhajan Singh currently has the most number of ducks in IPL – 13. He played for Mumbai Indians before being bought by Chennai Super Kings in the 2018 auction.
  2. MS Dhoni is the only skipper who has played most number of Finals. Dhoni took his side Chennai Super Kings in 6 finals. And 2018 is Dhoni’s 7th IPL final in 10 seasons. Earlier, Dhoni’s played in the finals for Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017 but then he hasn’t captained the side. The side was led by former Australia skipper Steve Smith.
  3. Former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner has scored more number of fifties in the tournament. Warner has scored 36 fifties in 114 games. He ties with former India opener Gautam Gambhir with 36 fifties, with a good average of 32.23.
  4. Harbhajan Singh also has a record of bowling most number of dots.
  5. Rashid Khan will become the first player from Afghanistan to play an IPL Final.
  6. Shikhar Dhawan, Deepak Hooda, Bipul Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will play second final for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2015, the players played in the tournament final against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
  7. Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha was the first batsman to score an IPL century in the tournament final. Then playing for Kings XI Punjab, Saha scored 115 against Kolkata Knight Rider which went in vain as KKR went to win the match and lift the title in 2015.
  8. Suresh Raina who played in CSK for 8 years holds multiple records. He consists of the records of most caps, most runs and most catches in the IPL history. Behind him is the Team India skipper Virat Kohli and ODI-T20I vice-captain Rohit Sharma.
  9. CSK is the only team that has made it to the playoffs in every single IPL season they had been a part of thus making them the most consistent side.
  10. The summit clash between CSK and SRH on Sunday (May 27) is going to be batsmen vs bowlers. This season CSK has had the best batting line up while SRH has the best bowling attack in this season.
