    Ujjain : Kshipra haritima project was inaugurated by Union minister Thavarchand Gehlot on Saturday with a sapling plantation drive near the banks of the river Kshipra. The project was launched by the Ujjain Municipal Corporation and forest department.

  • Heavy rainfall increases water levels of rivers

    Ujjain : The city and periphery areas in the region received heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours resulting in an increase in the water levels of river Gambhir and Kshipra. The Gambhir dam alone received 479.75McFT.

    Ujjain : Krishi Upaj Mandi president Bahadursingh Bormundla welcomed BJP national head Amit Shah, and gifted him a silver plough on his arrival in the city for the jan ashirwad yatra on Saturday.     Ujjain : Akhil Bharatiya Gayatri Parivar and forest department will jointly hold a plantation drive at ‘Matra smriti upvan’ at Government Engineering College premises on Sunday.

  • Yatra of Lord Jagannath held

    Ujjain : The procession of Lord Jagannath was held in the city amid drum beats and holy fervor. Hundreds of people participated in the procession held by ISKCON at Budhwariya and the Kahti community from Kartik Chowk. The community has been conducting the event for the nearly 114 years.
