  • Ujjain: Religious preachers, saints recommend hosting of ‘Ardhkumbh’ in city

    Ujjain: A delegation of Geetashridhar Dharmik, Sanskritik and Samajik Seva Sansthan, handed over a memorandum to the chairman of the Simhastha fair authority, Diwakar Natu on Monday recommending the hosting of ‘Ardhkumbh’ in Ujjain. Religious preachers, saints and scholars, they said, had already recommended holding it in the city, on the lines of Nasik, Haridwar and Allahabad.

  • Ujjain: Three city students get top ranks in CS foundation exams

    Ujjain: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has declared results of the CS foundation exams, in which three students of Achievers Academy scored All India ranks. Kaushiki Sikarwar was ranked 5th scoring 362 marks out of 400, Ameesha Kothari was ranked 19th scoring 334 out of 400 and Harsha Khatri ranked 23 scoring 326 out of 400.

    Ujjain: A two day seminar on ‘State level political leadership in India: patterns, trends, challenges and opportunities’ will be organised by the Madhya Pradesh Institute of Social Science Research (MPISSR), on Thursday and Friday. The seminar is being sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.

  • Ujjain: National Drama festival begins tomorrow

    Ujjain: The Ujjain-Indore National drama Festival 2018, organised by Abhinav Rang Mandal with the help of the Culture Department of the Union Government and district administration will be held from February 23 to March 1. According to Abhinav Rang Mandal president Sharad Sharma, dramas will be presented in the city on February 23, 24 and 25 at Sankul hall Kalidas Academy from 7 pm.

    Ujjain: A divisional convention of pensioners was organised on Tuesday, by Ujjain pensioners association at Narsing Ghat seeking redressal of legitimate demands of pensioners.     Ujjain: A meeting on eye-donation was held on Monday at Brihaspati Bhavan, Kothi Palace on Tuesday evening. The meeting was presided over by the president of Madhya Pradesh Pharmacy counselling, Om Jain. Prakash Chittoda provided guidance for the meeting and deputy collector Shaili Kanas was coordinator.
