    Mumbai: The ministry of health and family welfare (MOHFW) on Wednesday banned the manufacture for sale or distribution for human use of 328 fixed dose combinations (FDCs) with immediate effect, in public interest. It has also restricted the manufacture, sale or distribution of six FDCs, subject to certain conditions.

    Mumbai: BMC acquires disputed land near Byculla zoo

    Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), on Friday, finally acquired the seven acres of disputed land which had been leased to Mafatlal Mills. After the lease expired in 2012, BMC wanted the land back, but Mafatlal Mills submitted a plea in Bombay High Court (HC), claiming rights on the land. However, the court rejected the plea on August 16 and passed orders in BMC’s favour.

    Bhayandar: A 46-year-old pet shop owner lost Rs 6.83 lakh to a serious bank related fraud after the amount was fraudulently withdrawn from his savings account in the Mira Road branch of a reputed multi-state scheduled co-operative banking institution.     Mumbai: No political parties can be de-registered for putting up illegal hoardings in the state, the election commission (EC) told the Bombay High Court on Friday.
