  • Karnataka’s 203 MLAs richest in India with Rs 111.4 lakh annual income

    New Delhi: Of the 224 Karnataka MLAs, 203 have the highest average annual income of Rs 111.4 lakh, followed by Maharashtra’s 256 MLAs (Rs 43.4 lakh), according to an analysis of the affidavits of 3,145 legislators. The findings were released on Monday by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), an NGO that works for electoral and political reforms.

    Supreme Court adjourns hearing on PIL seeking stay on Rafale deal to October 10

    New Delhi: The Supreme Court Tuesday adjourned hearing on a plea seeking a stay on the Rafale fighter jet deal between India and France. A bench of Justices Ranjan Gogoi, Navin Sinha and K M Joseph adjourned the matter till October 10 after petitioner advocate M L Sharma told the bench that he wanted to file some additional documents in the case and sought adjournment in the matter.
