    Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling has said that the Himalayan state is headed towards achieving 100 per cent literacy. Addressing a public meeting, during his ongoing 32-day tour of the state, in the East district yesterday, Chamling said his government has given top priority to education and ensured that students from poor families get access to quality education.

  • Cash Crunch: Finance Ministry assures of resolving issue in three working days

    New Delhi: Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla on Tuesday accepted reports of an alleged cash crunch in the country and said the shortage will be resolved within three working days. Talking to ANI, Shukla said that there is an imbalance of currency available in various states at the moment, and the government and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) are looking into the matter.

    Bengaluru: Anupama Shenoy, a former woman police officer in Karnataka, has entered politics to become a lawmaker and police politicians who make promises but don’t fulfil them. “I have entered politics, floated a party to contest in the May 12 state assembly elections and become a lawmaker to police politicians so that they fulfil their promises and fear any wrongdoing,” Shenoy told IANS in an interview here.

  • UP Board Results 2018 date and time out: Class 10, 12 results to be declared on April 29

    The Uttar Pradesh Board has released a notification saying the results of both class 10, 12 exams will be declared on April 29 at 12.30 pm. The results will be available on the official websites and The UP 10th Board exams was conducted from Feb 6 – Feb 22 and class 12 boards were held from February 6 to March 10.

The transport and highways minister also talked about plans to build Chambal expressway that would be connected to the Delhi-Mumbai expressway. The Chambal expressway will benefit states like Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
