    Ganesh Visarjan 2018: Sound system owners in Mumbai ‘unhappy’ over ban during Ganeshotsav, Navratri

    Mumbai: The owners of Mumbai-based DJ groups and sound service providers are unhappy with the Bombay High Court’s decision to not provide them with interim relief on the ban on sound systems during Ganeshotsav and Navratri in the state. On Friday, the Bombay High Court had ruled that the ban on sound systems would continue across the state during Ganeshotsav and Navratri, while rejecting interim relief to petitioners.

    Fuel Price Hike: No respite for consumers, petrol at Rs 89.97 in Mumbai

    New Delhi: Fuel prices saw a fresh hike on Sunday, providing no respite to consumers adversely affected by the continuous increase in the fuel prices. The prices of Petrol and Diesel in Delhi are Rs 82.61, an increase of 12 paise per litre and Rs 73.97 per litre, an increase of 10 paise, respectively.

    Mumbai: Filmmaker and screenwriter Kalpana Lajmi, noted for films like “Rudaali”, “Darmiyaan” and “Daman”, died here on Sunday following a multiple organ failure, said her spokesperson. She was 64. “Extremely sorry to inform you that Kalpana Lajmi passed away this morning at 4.30 a.m.,” the filmmaker’s spokesperson Parul Chawla told IANS.
