Kautuk Dongrikars late strikes helped SeaView garner all the three points as they rallied to snatch a 2- 1 win against Mumbai FC in an exciting Super Division encounter of the Mumbai District Football Association ( MDFA) league, played at the Poinsur Gymkhana ground, Kandivali on Wednesday evening.
After the opening session failed to produce a goal, SeaView were taken by surprise immediately after resumption as Mumbai FC seized the advantage when Siddhart Ghorpade found the back of the net in the 49th minute.
Down by a goal, SeaView lifted their game and started to exert pressure on the rival citadel. They finally managed to restore parity when Dongrikar fired home in the 77th minute and 11minutes later he was again on target to give his side a 2- 1 lead, which they held on to till the end of the match.
In the other match at this venue, F United hardly encountered much difficulty as they blanked Mumbai Port Trust by a convincing 4- 0 margin. F United showed good understanding and worked as a cohesive which saw them enjoy more of ball possession. They dictated terms throughout the match and scored two goals in each half, through Robert Thiek ( 24th min), Dhiraj Lad ( 39th), Merwyn Stephen ( 49th) and Fahim Munshi ( 78th) to emerge worthy winners.
