Vrushali Bagwe, wife of ACP Vijay Bagwe and a defeated Shiv Sena candidate of ward number 3 who was arrested on Tuesday, along with her colleague Nirmala Chavan for allegedly assaulting two of her co- party workers had put molestation charge on Vijay Chande, the assaulted victim.

Chande, Chavan and Bagwe were arrested on Tuesday. Chavan and Bagwe are booked under section 324, 506, 504 and 34 of the Indian Penal code and Chande has been booked under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.

The remaining two assaulters, Nitin Sharma and Rahul Singh, also Shiv Sainiks were arrested on Wednesday morning, Dahisar police said.

They were arrested from their respective residences in Dahisar ( east) on Wednesday morning.

They, along with the two accused women, were released on bail after being produced before a magistrates court on Wednesday afternoon.

Chande and Vasant Patil, the other accused of the assault were beaten on the head with steel tongs after the duo went to Bagwes house. Bagwe alleged that Chande had held her hand hampering her modesty and hence registered molestation charges against him.

The police claim that the two women had forced Chande and Patil to sign a document saying that they were the reasons of her loss in the election.
