The Department of Higher Education ( DHE) has directed the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya ( DAVV) to adhere to academic calendar.
In a letter received by the varsity, the DHE said that the varsity should make sure that the courses do not get stretched.
'Ensure that exams are conducted and results are declared on time,'the letter said. Apart from this, the DHE has directed the varsity to implement dress code for varsity officials.
It is to be noted that the DHE in its review meeting held in December announced to implement dress code in all the varsities.
The move was aimed at enhancing discipline in the universities.
The DHE also stressed on the need for e- tendering for construction work to maintain transparency.
Apart from this, the DHE has also taken cognizance on facilities at the varsity guesthouse. The varsity has been directed to improve services at the guesthouse in a stipulated time period.
BCA students cry foul
A day after they were served out of syllabus question paper, the first semester students of BCA met the university authorities and demanded full marks for 'irrelevant'questions. The officers informed them that their complaint and demand would be kept before the examination committee.
The decision on the issue would depend on the committees suggestion, they added. Crying foul over the statement, the students stated that the examination committee never takes student favourable decisions.
