Collector M Geetha heard the pleas of Qumari marg road widening victims during a special Jan Sunwai conducted here on Wednesday at Brahaspati Bhavan.

Qumari marg residents put for their problems before the Collector.

Notably, Ujjain Municipal Corporation ( UMC) started demolishing the houses that fall under the purview of the road widening from February 13.

Qumari marg residents made massive protest against the UMC widening exercise and made a complaint before the Collector.

Widening work was stopped after the intervention of the Collector and she assured the residents for hearing their pleas during the Jan Sunwai.

Collector Geetha here on Wednesday heard the sufferings of the affected residents and assured them for considering their problems.

Collector interacted with the residents individually and heard their opinions about the road widening.

Final decision will be taken after hearing the pleas of all the residents. The Jan Sunwai will continue on Thursday.
