A womans body was found at Shastri garden near Freeganj overbridge here on Wednesday morning. Injury marks were found on the body.

A passer- by informed the police about the body. According to Madhav Nagar police, the deceased woman was identified as Yashoda ( 40) wife of Dhanraj alias Fugga, resident of Mhow. Two children of deceased named Sanjay and Anjali were also present at the garden near the body. According to the kids'statements, their father who is a ragpicker thrashed their mother brutally. It is assumed that the deceased was beaten to death by her husband. FSL officer Arvind Nayak and RD Pandey also reached the spot to carry out investigation.
