Conducted under the auspices of the famed Qureshi brothers- Mohammed Ashfaque and Mohammed Irfan, ( progeny of the legendary Dum and Peshawari cuisine pioneer - Chef Imtiaz Qureshi) the festival is bringing alive the flavours of typical Awadhi street food, with a touch of the fine dining experience through live food stations.
" Although in the format of a buffet," says Chef Ashfaque, " the emphasis is on interactivity, where you can ask our cooks to rustle up the days dishes in accordance with your tastes and specifications: more spice or less, lightly cooked or well done." In buffet style of course, there is the usual spread, of gravies and rice dishes though what is unique here is the lineup of stalls that attempt to replicate the roadside eat- street effect. You have on offer everything, from soups to starters, main course and desserts, albeit with a difference on a menu that changes daily.
