The Winner takes it all
The third edition of the Alexandria - Frost & Sullivan India Healthcare Excellence Awards 2011, held on Thursday in Mumbai saw a great turnout as industry leaders and professionals among others gathered to raise a toast to the best in innovative growth strategies and solutions in the healthcare industry.

This year, the 'Frost & Sullivans Lifetime Achievement Award'was presented to industry veteran, Dr. B Soma Raju, Chairman, Care Hospitals and the 'Frost & Sullivan Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year'was awarded to Dr. Naresh Trehan, Chairman, Medanta - The Medicity.
Follows closely in the footsteps of the 2010 awards, this year too leaders and innovators from the healthcare industry were felicitated and recognised for their efforts to meet the health needs of Indias burgeoning population.
Winners across categories celebrated their achievements with an audience of 350 plus. Some of this years winners include Napier Healthcare Solutions Pvt.
Ltd., which won the 'Healthcare IT Application Company of the Year'award, Apollo Pharmacy which won the 'Healthcare Retail Company of the Year'award, Roche Diagnostics India which won the 'Diabetes Detection Company of the Year'honor.
Fortis Healthcare & Hospitals Group took away the 'Healthcare Services Provider Company of the Year'award while 'Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.'was bestowed the award for the 'Indian Pharmaceutical Company of the Year'at this years ceremony. Sinha added that a comprehensive and rigorous methodology was adopted, where 80 - 100 hrs were spent on each awards by the Frost & Sullivan team.
Siro Clinpharm Pvt. Ltd. won the 'Indian Clinical Research Organisation of the Year'award, where as Super Religare Laboratories won the award for 'Diagnostic Services Provider Company of the Year', Philips Healthcare won the 'Cardiology Treatment Company of the Year'award and GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. won the award for the 'Indian Vaccine Market Company of the Year'.
