Mumbai: The wife and daughter of Thane Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal have been admitted at Jupiter Hospital, Thane, after they diagnosed to be suffering from with dengue. The mother-daughter duo reside in a posh Bandra locality. Jaiswal himself had to be hospitalised recently, after he complained of dizziness and weakness, on return from a vacation abroad.

On July 9, Sidhi Sanjeev Jaiswal, 45, and Sneha Jaiswal, 17, were admitted at Jupiter Hospital, where a blood test confirmed dengue. According to a hospital doctor, “All family members are stable and have been kept under observation.” Jaiswal said that his wife and daughter are recovering and asserted, “No dengue case has been reported in Thane.”

BMC is going to inspect the area in Bandra where the Jaiswals have been residing for over a month. “Until now, we had not treated the building where the Jaiswals resided; but, as a precautionary measure, we will be inspecting now all the areas in Bandra east to check for mosquito-breeding spots,” said Rajan Naringrekar, BMC’s insecticide inspector.
