Mumbai – The Bombay High Court came out with a rather innovative order while quashing aside a case of molestation and attempted murder against four youths.

The High Court today directed four young men accused of molestation and attempted murder to sweep public roads in Thane once a week for the next six months.

The High Court granted them relief by way of quashing of the attempt to murder and molestation case registered against them in October 2015, as the petitioners had reached an amicable settlement with the complainants.

However, in hindsight, it seems like the HC did not wanted the accused youths to go free. Hence, announced a order asking them to sweep public roads in Thane for eight hours every Sunday for the next six months.

A police officer from Naupada police station has been told to monitor if they are following the court order.

The four accused are – Ankit Jadhav, Suhas Thakur, Milind More and Amit Adkhale.
