No Mumbai bandh on 7 Dec, but yes to Maratha Kranti Morcha in Nagpur on 14 Dec

Maratha Kranti Morcha has been in news for quite a long time now. The Maratha community has been protesting and organizing silent rallies across the state with each district witnessing large number of people participating.

In Maharashtra Maratha community demands reservation in education and government services, most of farmers committed suicide belongs to Maratha caste, division of lands in small pieces makes critical condition. Infertility, drought hit continuously to Maratha. Due to lack of reservation, the unemployment becomes major problem.

Some part of Maratha community known as Kunbi gets benefits of Other Backward Class category reservation; but most people are out of benefits. More than 95% of Maratha are socially and educationally backward. There natural demand is reservation in education and employment.

Maratha Kranti Morcha broke record of human crowd in silent march and continued to break records at each and every time in all cities. No harm to national property is very healthy thing to democracy. Communal harmony also improved due to this Morcha. The minorities like Muslim community also supported this Morcha.

The Maratha Kranti Morcha is the largest silent protest by the Maratha comunity. It is being appreciated across the nation because of its discipline, cleanness and the absence of any of the nonsense seen in other agitations like those conducted by the Jats, Gurjars and Patels. Marathas make up nearly 35 percent of Maharashtra’s population of 12 crore and of the states 288 MLA, 145 are Marathas.

On 14 December in Nagpur Maratha Kranti Morcha is supposed to held. But if the demands are not met we will have have maha morcha in Mumbai where 50 lakh maratha community people will come on roads to ask government why the demands aren’t met till now, this was pointed out by organisers of Mumbai Maratha Kranti Morcha.

State Government should pass bill of reservations for Maratha community, to make government remember, banners will put in every area of Mumbai called as rememberence board on 7 December.

In November after the success of bike rally held by Maratha Kranti Morcha. The Mumbai Maratha Kranti Morcha committee had a meeting at Wadala Sports Centre to discuss the key points of Nagpur rally and discussion on the participation in Nagpur rally. In this meeting at Wadala Sports Centre a large number of youth from maratha comunity participatited.

In this meeting, Mumbai Kranti Morcha decided steps for public awareness, next steps to be taken, guide people about the work Maratha Kranti Morcha is doing and decision to appoint a representative in the meeting, carrying variety of responsibilities.

Through paintings the people of maratha community people have expressed, reservations, how Dalit Atrocities Prevention act is legally abused, suicides of farmers and the anger that is craving inside the maratha comunity. These paintings will be exhibited in Shivaji Park in coming days, and a book will also be published consisting the same.

To get reservations passed from the State Government, maratha community on 7 December had called for a Mumbai bandh such messages have been forwarded on whatsapp and facebook. This are just rumours and don’t believe in such kind of rumours, has said the organisers.
