Nitin Gadkari inaugurates India’s first cross belt sortation technology at Mihan


Nagpur : It was most awaited opportunity for the press to see the Mihan revive. The Mihan Multi Modal and International Hub based in Nagpur which was caught between bureaucratic red tapism and policy logjam. The logjam policy during the erstwhile Government had brought the Mihan to a grinding halt.

Where many investors had backed out earlier due to pending bureaucratic formalities and with its revival of many as many as 50,000 people will be benefited in form of employement. To highlight on a fact the Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) was actually a brain child behind setting up the MIHAN.

On the occasion of Inauguration of Kishore Biyani based Future group based logistic supply had unveiled India’s first cross belt sortation technology which was inaugurated at the hands of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. The High speed cross belt sorter system imbibes an incredible sorting capacity of sorting out million units per day.

Where Kishore Biyani explained about the importance of supply chains and put a light on contribution of supply chain to the nations GDP and added that the vision and imagination of Union Transport Minister which is to reduce the cost of logistics and transportation can boost the growth and ease of doing business.

While addressing the Dias Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Transport told about the ambitious plans his ministry has in the bags.

On economic growth, he said, “And we need to change mindsets which will set impetus for growth. And added that industry, agriculture and service sector is our nation’s most fundamental growth machineries. If we don’t give priority on building on industry then how will employement will generate. Our system setup is such the laws which are trash took time to change it. When in inspector Raj the number of people taking bribes increased it affected the investors”.

And also said that as being a MP from Nagpur will try to generate 50,000 jobs which will be beneficial to the Vidarbha’s youth. While he further elaborated on his other plans on various infra projects like Sagarmala which encompasses a cluster of 30-40 industries like chemical, furniture and automobiles, which will boost the economy, shall be introduced soon. While he also announced a multi- modal station will be built with an outlay of 120 crores in the city.

While he told the gathering at large that to reduce farmer suicides, “They are giving boost to irrigation, drip irrigation, water conservation and cold storage.

And also warned the people indulging in cartels for erroneous profiteering, where Minister told that his government will take punitive actions against such cartel business”. Also present at the occasion were Future group CEO, Rakesh Biyani, Director, Future Group and P V Sheshadari, CEO, Future Supply Chains.
