Nagpur: Ace Vidharbha Skipper Faiz Fazal to represent Ainsdale Cricket Club


Nagpur: Ace Vidarbha Cricketer and Left hand batsmen Faiz Fazal added a feather, as the cricketer will soon represent Ainsdale Cricket Club in Liverpool. The cricketer who played for the Central Zone, India Red, India Under-19s, Railways, and Rajasthan Royals had a successful stint with Hetton Lyons cricket in North East Premier Division in Durham County last year.
He will be gearing up for another season in England. The Ainsdale meanwhile welcomed Faiz Fazal through their tweet on Twitter, Delighted to welcome Faiz Fazal and Kevin Banwell to the club. #welcome #acc #uptheacc the clubs handle tweeted. While Faiz Fazal replied “thanks a lot.”
Vidarbha skipper is known for his excellent batting which acts as a pillar or guard for the Vidarbha team. The cricketer was the first Indian player in 16 years to make his ODI debut in his thirties. Where he scored an impressive 55 on his debut. But went onto become part of India ‘A’ Squad for the Aussie tour.
His first century came against came against Whiteburn cricket club where he scored an impressive 104 with the help of 13 fours and 4 sixes. Also, Fazal happens to be only cricketer in Indian team without any IPL Contract.
The Vidarbha Cricket Association has relaxed its policy on minor counties two years ago. Whereas the VCA had stopped its player from playing minor counties some 7-8 years ago as the cricketing body felt that it wasn’t upto the standards.
